Hi…my name is Tanny.
I came to TALGV almost 3½ years ago when one of our volunteers saw (and heard!) me in a trap in the back of a pickup truck. She asked the driver what he was planning to do with me, and was told that I’d been found abandoned in an empty trailer and he was planning to dump me in the desert. Well, you can imagine that it took a nanosecond for the volunteer to rescue me and bring me here, and in no time at all, I was adopted, along with another TALGV feline resident, Poppy, and we went to what we thought was to be our “ever after” homes. Well, humans’ lives change (my mom and dad divorced, and sadly neither of them wanted – or were able -- to keep us), so I’m back here now dreaming of finding someone who will take me (or both of us) into his or her life and never, EVER, let me go. I am a lovely tan and white lady and I’m as sweet as the day is long. My people did let me go outside once in a while, but the folks here know that as exciting as that is for us felines, it really is a HUMONGOUS no-no, especially in these parts, so they want to be sure that my new people promise that I’ll only watch the great outdoors from a safe windowsill (or, even better, a screened porch)! I’m still very playful and kittenlike (well, I’m not really all that old after all!), so I will make an enchanting, loving, warm and furry addition to your life. You KNOW that’s what you want, so come on down here and meet me (and Poppy) – it will be one of the best moves you’ve ever made!
