Hi…my name is Tux.

In July 2009 I was found roaming in the common area of Desert Hills II. My rescuer took me in, and although the two of us got along beautifully, the resident, 9-year-old cat, wasn’t having any part of me. Well, since he was there first, you know the story! I am a totally handsome, 5-year-old, long-haired, neutered Tuxedo gentleman who is that in every way: I am very gentle, never use my claws, have a very soft voice and I love laps and petting. My “almost” mom said that she thought I’d like another animal pal as I was not the one who was aggressive and I really did try to make friends with “the competition!” I only weigh just over 10 pounds (most of what you see is my luxuriant fur!), so you know that I’ll “tread lightly” when I hop into your lap or on the sofa when we’re watching TV together. Not to toot my own horn (but who else will?) – but I don’t think you will find a better addition to your life than me!
