Hi…my name is Apollo.
Just like my namesake in Greek and Roman mythology, I am the quintessential example the ideal male (of the canine variety!). I was found in the White Mountains a while back and after being here just a few days, one of the volunteers who spent some time with me said that I had given him “more kisses than he had gotten when he was on his honeymoon!” He says that I’m a marvelous, very affectionate boy who loves all the people I meet. I’m a striking, creamy white, Siberian husky/shepherd mix, and since I’m still pretty much a puppy at just over a year old, I am very playful and oh-so-eager to learn new things (I had never seen a doggie door before I arrived here, but all it took was one “walk through” and I caught on immediately). Although I’ve probably never had any “proper” obedience training and have lived outside for much of my short life, I’m smart as a whip and know that I’ll be the star of any class I attend. I am dreaming about a young active family who will include me in their lives. As my volunteer friend says, I am “the whole package” – so why don’t you give yourself a present and make me yours?
