Hi…my name is Ava.
I was found hiding under a truck way out on Arivaca Creek Trail on a REALLY hot day in June. (I know most days are pretty hot this time of year, but this one was over the top, so I was lucky to have at least found place that offered a bit of shade!). Well, happily for me, along came some hikers and they took me home. Since they already had two other dogs, I got to come to TALGV where there are swimming pools for me to lounge in and lots of food, water, and shade everywhere. I am a 50-pound, black and white terrier mix girl, about two years old, and the volunteers will be happy to tell you what a love I am. When they did all the “stuff” they do with new arrivals (shots, bath, medications and the like), I was as good as gold. I’m newly spayed, and getting all healthy and happy again, so I’m ready to head on out to a new life with a family that will make the memory of my past disappear. Wouldn’t you like to do that for me?
