Hi…my name is Chaco.
Boy, what a Christmas I had! A fantastic couple found me curled up outside their chain link fence during the ice/snow storm we had over the holidays. They walked right up to me, put a leash on me, took me inside, dried me off, and put me in the wonderfully warm spare bedroom. I got lots of food and water that night, and awhile later I let them know that I had to go outside to do my “thing,” and then I got to go back into that nice warm house again all night! That was the best Christmas present I could ever want! My rescuers couldn’t keep me forever, though, because they already had three dogs and couldn’t afford any more, so I’m here hoping that there is another kind family out there that will keep me safe and warm (or cool – depending on the season!) for the rest of my life. I am an 18-month-old, 57-pound, Shepherd/Aussie mix male and am a very people-oriented guy (I get along with other dogs okay, too). I know that I will make a great companion for a loving, active family, and I promise to return that love to them threefold!
