Hi…my name is Diamond.
My sister, Ruby, and I lived with our family (a middle-aged couple) for all our lives until our world collapsed and we lost our home – literally. Our mom and dad had to move, and the city they were going to didn’t allow big dogs like us. I’ve been here at TALGV for almost a year now, and recently I went to live with a foster mom for a few weeks and she says that I am a loyal and loving companion who is a real homebody. You can read everything she had to say about me at TALGV, but here’s just a sampling: “Diamond is absolutely housebroken and uses a doggy door or will alert you when she needs to go out…she doesn’t like outings in the park and is more relaxed at home. She is a couch (or chair or bed) potato. She is a very good walker and doesn’t pull or react to other dogs, birds, etc. She is not comfortable with other dogs…she was not aggressive, but it was clear she preferred to be somewhere else – preferably at home. She travels well in the car and doesn’t bark excessively.”
I’ve been around kids and although I tend to play rough, I’m not at all aggressive with them. Cats, though, are a different story – so I should go to a home that is cat free. I love affection and attention (I’ll let you know when I want it!), to give kisses, and to get dog cookies when my behavior has been especially good. Since my nose is kind of light, I tend to get sunburned, so, like people, I need to have some sunscreen applied before I go out. I love to sit next to you while you watch TV or read, so if you want a devoted companion, I’m the gal for you!
