Hi…my name is Duke.

I am a very special kind of dog who is looking for a very special kind of person. I am a 6-year-old, cream-colored, perfectly housebroken, neutered guy who weighs 105 pounds. I lived with my family (a couple with no children) all my life, but recently developed “issues” with the other animals I lived with (I wanted to be the only one in their lives!), so they felt that it would be best if I went to a home where I would be the only dog (and NO cats!). I know lots of commands (sit, stay, wait, no, give me your paw), and am very smart, VERY loyal (as befits my breed), and am supremely lovable with my people – they said I was a “real hugger!” If you have had experience with big, assertive fellows like me and you feel that you have the time and patience to help me adjust to a new home and family, then I think we should meet and talk it over!
