Hi... my name is Kona.

My mom, Kali, was named after the Hindu goddess who was viewed as giving life, and boy did she ever do that in spades! She was found abandoned near Quail Creek with TEN puppies when we were only 4 weeks old. The man who rescued us already had fifteen rescued animals of his own, so you can imagine he wasn’t ready to add any more to the mix! I am a freckled, tan and white, Australian heeler mix boy who is now a bit over 8 weeks old. I think TALGV is a terrific place, and the volunteers (and my mom) have taken really good care of me since I arrived, but I am now SO ready to go to home of my very own where I’ll get lots more attention and even get to go to doggie school to learn the ABCs of being a good canine companion. Won’t you let me be the best thing to happen to you this year?
