Hi…my name is Licorice.

My friend, Caramel, and I arrived on the doorstep of an awfully nice man who lives near Helmet Peak Road and Avenida Tres in Sahuarita about three weeks ago. He took us in for awhile thinking maybe someone would come looking for us, but that was not to be, so since he couldn’t keep us himself, he prevailed on the fine folks here at TALGV to take us in. I am a 20-pound, black Retriever/Lab mix boy (about 18 months old), who is very gentle and tolerant, but just a bit timid around strangers right now (not surprising given what I’ve been through!). My rescuer said that I love to play with knotted string balls and bones, and that I am a very sweet boy, so with the right family (one that has plenty of time to devote to my training for a few months), I will become a fantastic and valuable member of the family. If that sounds like your home, then I’d like to make it mine!
