Hi… my name is Malibu.
But my friends sometimes call me “Boo Boo!” I am a striking, 4½ year-old, 39 pound, Basenji mix girl who was raised with two smaller dogs, but recently decided that I’d rather be the “only child” in the family. I am perfectly housebroken, leash trained, and am also getting obedience training too (they say I’m smart as a whip!). I love humans, long walks, and lots of cuddling. My breed originated in Africa and is sometimes known by the nickname the “barkless” dog because we have a curious yodell-like sound called a "barroo," due to an unusually shaped larynx. Well, actually have a bit of heeler in my genes too, so I’m not totally barkless, but I am a great watchdog and I’ll get your attention one way or another if need be! My people said that I will be a wonderful, loyal companion and friend to someone who has no other animals in the house.
