Hi. . . my name is Nicky.
Seeing my brother Lager and I being walked down the street is a sight that elicits “Wow!” Not only are we strikingly handsome but we walk and behave very well on a leash which is a definite plus for any dog, but even more so for ones like us who weigh in at around 80 pounds. (Actually, I weigh 79 pounds and Lager weighs 87 pounds.) We are 3 ½ year-old, mostly black, Lab/shepherd mixes with a lankiness that suggests that there might even be a little greyhound tucked into our lineage. We were born on September 16, 2006, and adopted together from TALGV when we were just pups. Between then and now we have lived with an active family where some of our best friends were children and the cat. We know the commands “sit,” “stop,” “stay,” “come,” and “no.” Our caring family is so sad to have to let us go, but today’s economic situation has caused many changes in their lives. You can see by our actions and responses to people that we have been treated lovingly (think belly rubs for one thing), and will be a happy addition to another dog-oriented family. Heaven on earth for both of us would be if we could stay together. . . and the people at TALGV will be giving some very special considerations to anyone who adopts both of us.
