Hi…my name is Sage.
One day back in October, my luck changed when I wandered onto a great lady’s property and she decided to give me shelter. It was obvious that I was pregnant, and after a few weeks I gave birth to one puppy (a real rarity apparently, but not too surprising since I’d been out on my own for awhile and not getting a whole lot of good nourishment). Since my rescuer already two other dogs (in addition to three young children), it was just too much for her to feed two more mouths, so she persuaded the TALGV people to take in my little boy, Oreo, and me. I am only about a year old myself, am a striking, distinctive shade of silver grey, and have dazzling topaz eyes. It’s hard to decide what my heritage is, but they’re thinking a mix of shepherd/heeler/something else exotic…to account for my unusual coloring. In the personality department, though, there is no doubt. I am gentle (with little kids and other dogs), sweet, “biddable” (which means that I am easily trained and love to please!), and generally have a sweet canine heart that will make some lucky family a great (and grateful) lifelong companion.
