Hi…my name is Tumbleweed.
Although the names they’ve given my siblings, Mesquite, Sage, Joshua, Juniper, Ocotilla, Cholla, and me, make it sound as if we were found in the desert, we were actually found abandoned in a HOUSE out in the desert near Elephant Head (luckily for us!). Our rescuers found us, little black and white Lab/Heeler mixes (I’m a male) when we were only 8 weeks old and just in the nick of time, too, as what little food and water that had been left for us was all long gone. They were a lovely couple who took us in and gave us lots of love and food and socializing for a month (they had three cats and two other dogs, so we got to know and play with them all). Despite our initial bad experience with humans, we’re all happy-go-lucky, outgoing critters who dream of nothing more in life than to find our own, secure, and loving homes where we can concentrate on bringing our people all the joy that comes from having a loving, loyal companion.
