Quail Creek Run

The Annual Quail Creek Run is coming up – mark your calendars for Saturday, February 27th. There will be a 5K Run, 5K Walk & 2K Fun Walk. Also on the agenda are Raffle Prizes, Snacks, Music and T-shirts. Proceeds will benefit The Community Food Bank and The Animal League of Green Valley. For more details go to www.quailcreekrun.com

Dogs are invited to participate in the 2K Fun Walk and if you don’t have a dog – come to the Rent-a-Dog Booth and rent one from TALGV!

Now you can help The Animal Rescue Site choose which eligible Petfinder.com animal rescue organizations will receive special funds to help animals! Voting is simple: just select your Country and (if U.S. or Canada) State/Province. All other fields are optional and accept partial (but not misspelled or inaccurate) information. You can cast one vote every day for your favorite rescue organization.

Voting begins on Monday, January 18th and continues through Sunday, April 18th!

Help us win! All you have to do is click to help rescued animals, and then vote in The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge. Both of these actions are absolutely free! Benefit Dinner for Our Animals at Jerry Bob’s at the Safeway Plaza on Duval Mine Road

This is a Community Wide Event on Friday, January 29, anytime from 4-9 p.m.

Dinner will be the option of steak or all you can eat fish fry or a combo plate.  Vegetarians will be offered a nice salad. For the salad option, it will be a Winter Fruit Salad with a lemon poppy seed dressing.  It will include Romaine lettuce, cranberries, apples, pears, onions etc.  It will be great.  If you know that you will order the salad, please indicate that when you purchase your ticket(s). Because of the lengthy preparation of this salad it would help preparation times if they had an estimated number. There is no need to specify in advance a choice of steak or fish fry or combo.

Price per ticket will be $15 with $5 from every ticket going to The Animal League. Tickets may also be redeemed at any time for two free meals per ticket at Jerry Bob’s if you are not able to attend the night of the dinner event and TALGV still gets the $5.00.  Tickets are available in the TALGV Lobby and Office or at Jerry Bob’s. Tickets will also be available at the door.
