Charley:  My wonderful rescuer found me abandoned with my very young babies in a neighbor’s home after they moved. I didn’t have any food or water, and was in pretty sad shape (as were my kittens). She hand fed them until they could eat on their own, then after a while found homes for them all. Now she wants so badly for me to have a home of my very own too. I’m a beautiful tabby and white girl (despite my name!) who, at about 8 or 9 months old, is still just a kitten myself. I’ve just been spayed, had all my shots, and am a loving, affectionate, playful girl who gets along with other cats and the resident BIG dog (we like to play together, too!). My “mom” already has three cats and the dog, and even though we are all pretty compatible, she thinks I deserve to have my own forever home where I can rule the roost. If you’re looking for the quintessential “lap cat” then your search is over! Please call my guardian at 237-1869 and she’ll tell you all about my winning ways.

GENERAL MAO:  I got my name because I was once a big, domineering tomcat hanging around with a bunch of feral cats. Unlike them, however, I was a very sweet guy who had just gotten in with the “wrong crowd!” Now that I’ve been neutered, I have no desire to roam any more, and I want more than anything in the world to have a home of my own where I can be the ONLY feline guy. I get along okay with females, but, truth be told, I really would rather have you all to myself. I am a 3-4-year-old, Turkish Van/Siamese mix (I have one blue eye and one orange eye, which gives me quite an unusual look.) I have gorgeous, thick white fur with an orange tail and a few auburn spots. I love to rub my head and body against you and flop over for tummy rubs and serious petting, and then give you a “thank you” nibble. Right now I have to share my “mom” with so many other cats, and I am SO hoping to find a place of my very own so that the “real me” can come shining through. Won’t you please call her at 398-2871 and she’ll tell you what a wonderful guy I really am!

SKITTLES: My friend, Manders, and I have been living (and getting along great) with a whole tribe of rescued dogs and cats way out in the Wrangler Ranch area. Sadly, our people are moving to a place where they don’t allow QUITE so many animals, so since we are both super friendly and affectionate (and beautiful to boot!), they thought we might be the easiest two to place. I am a “drop-dead gorgeous” long-haired, tabby and white, 4-year-old lady with the most intriguing eyes you’ve ever seen! I can be laid back and “Cleopatra-like” at times and at others just the life of the party. Since I was a rescued girl, my dad isn’t sure whether I’m spayed or not, and I should probably have my shots brought up to date, but there are low-cost places in Tucson that will do that in a jiffy. I’m sure that if you can’t make it all the way out to meet me, my dad could bring me to you, so why don’t you give him a call? He can be reached on his cell (982-4789) or at home (399-3508).

Rocky:  My “mom” was calling me Tigger until she realized that I have a tail just like Rocky Raccoon so now that's my new name! The rest of me is a beautiful multi mix of gold, brown, and white – quite an unusual (and very striking!) combination. In addition to my looks, though, she says the very best part of me is my personality. I have the world’s loudest purr (all you have to do is LOOK at me and I start up!), I’m quite vocal, and simple LOVE to be held and petted and “made” over. My mom found me near her home on Camino del Sol awhile back and has been feeding me ever since. She just took me to the vet (who estimates my age at about 18 months) and had me tested for feline leukemia (negative), neutered, and given all my shots, so now I’m all ready to move in with you so that I can bring all the joy to your life that I have to hers (she says she’d love to keep me, but she already has several other cats and dogs (with whom I get along just fine), but one more might be just too many. She has way more to tell you about me to convince you that I’m the guy for you, so won’t you please give her a call at 648-3765. It will be a red letter day in your life when you bring me home!
